• Logo & Graphics Information •
You can have your company logo on just about any award from B & C Trophies. Below are some general guidelines to ensure the highest quality rendering of your logo:
• Electronic (Digital) Artwork •
We can accept your logo or graphic in digital form. You can e-mail the image as an attachment (we have a broadband connection, so large files are ok), or send it to us on a CD, Floppy Disk or Zip 100. Our computers are PCs, so if your file was created on a Macintosh, it will need to be converted or exported to a PC version. We use a vector-based graphics program, but we can also use bitmap images. The best file types are .cdr (Corel Draw), .ai (Adobe Illustrator), .eps (Adobe Illustrator), and .wmf (Windows Metafile). We can also accept bitmap file types, such as .jpg, .gif, .bmp, .gif, .tif, .psd (Adobe Photo Shop), and .cpt (Corel Photo Paint). If you are submitting a bitmap image, it must be at least 300 dpi to ensure quality engraving. We prefer to use 1-bit black and white images, but grayscale and color images can be accepted. NOTE: If your image is in a word processor file, we cannot extract the image from the file. Please send only the image file itself, in one of the formats listed above. If your logo or graphic requires extensive work (more than a few minutes) to make it suitable for engraving, a set-up charge of $40.00 per hour (rounded to nearest 5-minute increment) will be incurred. An average set-up is around 30 to 45 minutes. Of course, we will let you know in advance if your image will require such a set-up.
• Scanning Artwork •
We can scan your logo or graphic from a camera-ready slick or just a sheet of white paper. The cost for scanning and setting up the logo or graphic is $10.00. Keep in mind that the quality of the engraving of scanned images is only as good as the quality on the original. Faxes are not acceptable for scanning. The larger the image, the better the result. (Business cards are generally too small). • Color •
Plaques and other awards can be prepared with color images and text. This process is called Color Sublimation. While this process does have its limitations, Color Sublimation offers photo quality color for your logo or photo images. High resolution images (at least 300 dpi) are ideal for this process.
